The Last Days of Winter

Are upon us.

Spring is just around the corner and soon everything will stop being so grey and cold and start being green and fresh and we’ll want to go outside again. Instead of wishing the last month or two of Winter away, I suggest we savour it before it’s time to pack away the extra blankets and casserole dishes.

The only logical thing to do was to make a mixtape.

It’s a heady mix of indie rock/americana/alt country type stuff and perfect for falling asleep  wrapped in goose down (I tested this out)

I took the picture on Hampstead Heath during some rare London snowfall.

Team Braverman

60155300 I watched the Parenthood Season 4 finale this morning and I’m already missing the Bravermans. I wish this weren’t true, but it is. This season was incredible. Pretty much every episode was an emotional roller-coaster, AND I like Kristina now, which I never thought would happen. I still think it’s a bit off they kept Haddie in the dark though. I know that there are more of you like me out there, wondering how you’re going to live without your weekly dose of everyone’s  favourite fictional family. So to try and help us through these dark times until we hear whether it’s been renewed for a fifth season or not,  I’ve made an epic 4 hour long Spotify playlist of songs that were featured in season 4. Re-live Kristina telling Adam she has cancer! (I can never listen to Iron & Wine the same way) Ryan and Amber’s break-up! the Hank, Sarah, Mark love triangle! Drew at the abortion clinic! Max and the vending machines! I hope this helps and doesn’t make you too sad. Oh, and if you’re not familiar with Parenthood, then I wrote all about why you need to watch it now

Snowy

It’s snowing.

Properly

As this is such a rare occurrence for London, I decided to mark the occasion with a mix.

All of the songs are snow related –  it’s pretty slow and good for listening to while the white stuff falls. Ideally on a sofa with blankets and a cuddle buddy.

Happy Winter!
